Accurate Pathogen Identification & Antibiotic Sensitivity Testing

About Micro-Biology

Microbiology identifies infectious agents — bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites — and determines effective treatments. National Lab also uses the Mispa i3 Nephelometry Analyzer based on Rate Based Nephelometry and Immuno-turbidimetry for quantifying specific proteins in serum.

Our microbiology services support diagnosis of UTIs, respiratory infections, wound infections, and sexually transmitted infections with accurate culture and sensitivity testing.

Our Technology

The Mispa i3 Analyzer uses Rate Based Nephelometry and Immuno-turbidimetry for quantitative measurement of specific proteins (CRP, ASO, RF, immunoglobulins, complement proteins). Our culture systems use automated continuous monitoring for faster pathogen detection, and AST follows CLSI/EUCAST guidelines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Bacterial cultures: 24–72 hours preliminary, 48–96 hours final sensitivity. Fungal cultures: 7–14 days.
Collect mid-stream urine in a sterile container after cleaning. Deliver within 1 hour (or refrigerate up to 4 hours).
